Star Ocean 5 Integrity and Faithlessness, the new entry of the Star Ocean series developed by tri-Ace, is finally getting released in Japan later this month. The game has been confirmed for North America and Europe a while back, but not much has been said about these versions of the game in the past months, but it seems like Square Enix is getting ready to promote the Western release of its role playing game.
Earlier today, the Japanese publisher has released the first English trailer for Star Ocean 5 Integrity and Faithlessness. The trailer, which isn't exactly new, as it's the same trailer that has been released in time for the Jump Festa from December, allows players to get acquainted with some of the game's characters, locations and battle system. The English dub sounds much better than the English dub for Star Ocean 4, so things are definitely looking good for the Western release. You can check out the trailer right below.
Back in January, Square Enix revealed the final Japanese box art for Star Ocean 5 Integrity and Faithlessness. In Japan, the game will be released on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, with the PlayStation 4 version coming with a better resolution and frame rate. In the West, the game will only be released on PlayStation 4.
Star Ocean 5 Integrity And Faithlessness will take place between the second entry of the series, Star Ocean: The Second Story, and the third, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Even though the game is set before the third game, the team revealed that they will also address the big twist included in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, a twist that impacted the entire series.
Star Ocean 5 Integrity And Faithlessness will launch in Japan on March 31st in Japan on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 version has been confirmed for the West but it has yet to receive a solid release date.
