Two weeks ago, Square Enix confirmed that Star Ocean Integrity And Faithlessness, the new entry of the long running role playing game series developed by tri-Ace, is going to be released this Summer in North America and Europe. Recently, the Japanese publisher has revealed precisely when the new role playing game is going to hit PlayStation 4 consoles in the West.
In a new post on the Official PlayStation Blog, it's been confirmed that Star Ocean Integrity And Faithlessness will launch on June 28th in North America and on July 1st in Europe. Even though it's the latest entry in a long running series, players won't need to have played the previous entries of the series to enjoy Star Ocean Integrity And Faithlessness' story and characters.
Series producer Shuichi Kobayashi has also shared a message to fans.
It has been quite long since the last instalment was released and the time has now come for us to share another “tale of the sea of stars” with you. I personally adore this franchise and have been excited to be involved in the process of its resurrection. There are fewer JRPGs for consoles on the market these days and I believe that this makes the release of this new game particularly significant. The franchise has always featured exhilarating action battles and with the new game, we deliver an evolved combat system which can involve a party of up to seven characters and it is easier to execute combo attacks.
There are also many new and additional game items and content that we hope may encourage you to replay the game for added value, and I sincerely hope you will give this game a try. We would really like to get your support so that we can continue to tell more “tales of the sea of stars”.
With its high speed action battle system and an interesting setting, Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness is the game to look forward too for all fans of classic role playing games. The new tri-Ace developed role playing game is now available in Japan on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, and it will be released exclusively on PlayStation 4 on June 28th in North America and July 1st in Europe.
