Last week, it's been confirmed that Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture, the unique adventure game developed by The Chinese Room for PlayStation 4, is going to be released on PC soon. A release date had yet to be confirmed, but today we finally know when this excellent adventure game will become available on Steam.

Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture

A few hours ago, Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture surprisingly became available for purchase on Steam, with an April 8th release date. This was clearly a listing mistake, as the game is now only available for pre-order with an April 14th release date.

Alongside the game's PC release, The Chinese Room creative director Dan Pinchbeck has confirmed some of the enhancements the new release of Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture will sport, such as a frame rate cap that can be turned off, allowing players to enjoy the game at 60 FPS, and higher resolution options. The game, however, won't feature any other major enhancement, as the team pushed the PS4 as much as possible in the original version. Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture PC will also sport new accessibility features, visual assist for hearing-impaired players and more. The game will also be compatible with most controllers, so Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture on PC will be accessible to as many players as possible.

Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture would definitely benefit from VR support due to the nature of the game, but it seems like it won't be coming anytime soon. The door hasn't been closed completely, so things might be changing in the future.

Everybody’s Gone To The Rapture is now available on PlayStation 4 in all regions. The game will launch on Steam next week, on April 14th.
