Given the increasing importance of the rumor mill, we've become accustomed to seeing more and more upcoming devices feature with regularity in the news. In fact, devices well before a year before their launches have also surfaced a couple of times, often with semi-accurate specifications, leaving the element of surprise behind new launches to be virtually non-existent. Today, after seeing Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 become a regular feature of the aforementioned 'mill', its the Galaxy S8's turn to surface, with some very interesting specifications indeed.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 To Come With 4K Display, 6GB Of RAM And A Dual Curved Screen

While news about the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has started to surface with regularity, given the fact that Samsung's phablet is expected to be launched within the next two months, the Galaxy S8 hasn't been that much of a regular feature. While we did hear about an alleged 4K screen on the device a couple of days back, that seems to be the only piece of information so far, if you don't factor in today's leak.

Now, Samsung's supply chain sources in Asia have finally started to open up on the Galaxy S8, and by today's initial look, the tech giant seems to have some interesting points in mind w.r.t its flagship smartphone. Apart from seeing the 4K claim repeated today, the Galaxy S8 will also be featuring 6GB of RAM, a specification that's already been rumored for the Galaxy Note 7 as well. Samsung did recently launch its new, 10nm 6GB DRAM modules and the company seems to be quite eager to bring them on its flagship devices.

In addition to a 4K display and 6GB of RAM, today's sources are also claiming that not only will the Galaxy S8 be coming with dual edge screen, but this will also have an increased Radian. This should provide both the edges with more space when accommodating various features and coupled with the device's other performance specifications should manage to overhaul the Galaxy S8 by quite a bit. While the same sources are also claiming a bendable screen for the smartphone, we'd take that with a healthy grain of salt for now, particularly since a good eight months are left until the Galaxy S8 finally does hit the shelves.

Samsung has already shown off a 5.5 inch, 4K AMOLED screen, so when it comes to the technology, the Korean tech giant does have the resources. On the hardware end, we're expecting the Snapdragon 830 to make it on the Galaxy S8, which should provide the device with several critical performance upgrades. These range from 4Kx2K recording, support for LPDDR4X memory, increased clock speeds for the Kryo cores and improved basebands. News related to the Galaxy S8 should increase in rate after Samsung's done with the Note 7 this September, so stay tuned for more and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
