The update is released two months after the release of the previous watchOS 2.2.1. So what does Apple's latest software upgrade for the Apple Watch has in store for users? Let's find out.

Apple Released watchOS 2.2.2 For The Apple Watch With Obvious Bug Fixes

watchOS 2.2.2 update for the Apple Watch is fairly minor when it comes to front-facing features. If you're keeping score, you might as well know that the company has released only one beta to developers before releasing the final build. Moreover, the final build itself is minor in scale as it is centered towards bug fixes and minor performance improvements. Moreover, no new features and additions were part of the previous beta update as well. The beta only focused on the obvious bug fixes and probably tweaks in the performance department.

Despite of no new features added in the upgrade, if you are considering to upgrade your Apple Watch to watchOS 2.2.2, the update can be viable in improving the performance of your wearable. To download watchOS 2.2.2 on your Apple Watch, navigate to the dedicated Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Once you do that head over to the General tab and then tap on Software Update. watchOS 2.2.2 will be available to you and the download process will start.

Apple Watch 2 Starting Price Could Be More Than Its Predecessor’s – Here’s Why

In order to install the latest watchOS 2.2.2 beta, make sure that your Apple Watch has at least 50 percent of battery life remaining or connected to the power source. Other than this, also make sure that the wearable is in sufficient range of your iPhone. This will ensure that that watchOS 2.2.2 is installed without any errors.

Apple is also looking forward to release watchOS 3 later this fall, which will be the successor to the watchOS 2.2.2. watchOS 3 could be the reason why Apple has not added any major features in the current release. watchOS 3 brings major interface design changes along with new ways to navigate and control the Apple Watch. Other than this, various new watch faces and new apps like Breathe are also part of the upgrade. An important aspect of watchOS 3 is its capability to launch apps in an instant rather than the annoying delay that we all are currently witnessing.

This is it for now, folks. What are your thoughts on watchOS 2.2.2? Do you think Apple should have added forward-facing features considering watchOS 3 is on the way? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
