Yesterday marked the day of release for Apple's third iOS 10 beta. While the update brings a handful of improvements in the usability department, the rest of it includes a bevy of obvious bug fixes and performance enhancements. So how does iOS 10 beta 3 stack up against iOS 9.3.2 in a speed test? Has it witnessed a greater speed bump compared to the previous beta? Lets find out.

iOS 10 Beta 3 Impressively Improves Performance On The iPhone 5

The comparison has been conducted by the folks over at iAppleBytes. It will behoove you to know that all compatible iPhone models have been used in the test, paced side by side, running iOS 10 beta 3 and iOS 9.3.2. Generally, we can see that iOS 10 beta 3 is improved in speed compared to the previous beta of iOS 10. With that said, yesterday's beta release of iOS 10 is also capable of running head to head with iOS 9.3.2.

The videos show that iOS 10 beta 3 performs in fairly the same speed as iOS 9.3.2. It is as smooth and as fast as iOS 9.3.2 when it comes to opening and closing apps. Virtually, the speed difference is nonexistent to the naked eye, which is good, considering the fact that iOS 10 is still in the beta phase. Overall user experience seems more polished with smooth transitions and animations. There seems to be little or no lags when it comes to interacting with the operating system. These results are based on the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s models. It's definitely noticeable how the beta update has improved performance on these devices. Check out the videos below for more in-depth details.

Talking about the iPhone 5, it would be wrong to say that it didn't keep up between the iOS 10 beta 3 and iOS 9.3.2 speed test. It is really impressive to see that iOS 10 beta 3 greatly improved performance on the older iPhone 5. However, if you're running iOS 10 beta 3 on your iPhone 5, you might experience minor lags and drop in frames. Judging on the bases of the video, we can see that apps opens and closes faster but way smoother than what we experienced in iOS 10 beta 2. Ergo, yesterday's iOS 10 beta release definitely polishes the overall user experience. See the iPhone 5 running the third beta of iOS 10 in action below.

As we have mentioned earlier, iOS 10 beta 3 is in its beta phase so a boost in changes is definitely welcome, especially on the iPhone 5. iOS 10's final release is just a month or two away as Apple plans to release it this fall alongside the much anticipated iPhone 7. Also, do take note that the final build could be different than what we see and experience in the beta releases.

This is it for now, folks. What are your thoughts on iOS 10 beta 3 compared to iOS 9.3.2 in a speed test? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
