Livelock Runs @1080P on both PS4 & XB1; Main Story Campaign To Last 3/4 Hours

Fans of cooperative top-down shooter games will be happy to know that Livelock, developed by Tuque Games and published by Perfect World Entertainment, will be out soon.

Livelock transports players into the 22nd century, the age of the machine. Nearly a century after the cataclysm, it’s up to you to restore humanity. Clusters - groups of corrupted machines control what remains of the earth, fighting each other in an infinite war over resources that now threatens the very planet itself. Players take control of a Capital Intellect, a human consciousness uploaded to large mechanical body. Armed with a unique arsenal of weapons and special abilities, the Capital Intellect must fight the corrupted machine Clusters and break the cycle of an infinite war, before humanity is forgotten in the annals of history.

We've had the chance to get Tuque Games’ lead game designer, Kevin Neibert, to answer a few questions about the game:

What are your frame rate and resolution targets for PlayStation 4 & Xbox One? Will there be any graphical differences between these versions and PC?

We support 1080p resolution for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For PC, it totally depends on your hardware, but modern computers will generally run a bit smoother than Consoles. At the Tuque Office, we enjoy playing Livelock on a giant 4K screen.

With many games implementing cross-platform play, have you considered this feature for Livelock? Could it be added in the future?

Livelock will not support cross-platform play.

How long do you expect the story to last? Will there be any DLC for the game and if so, can you make a few examples of what you're planning?

The Main Story Campaign will take players between 3 and 4 hours to complete. Livelock also has an arcade-style mode called Open Protocol which features a standalone Survival Mission where players will have their skills pushed to the limit as they battle endless hordes of corrupted machines. We are extremely focused on delivering a sold experience for players at launch, so there are no plans for DLC at this time. That being said, we are just scratching the surface of the Livelock Universe.

While that would seem short for a campaign, it should be noted that the game will be a budget release priced at $19.99 on all platforms (PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One). Do check out Kai's first impressions from our hands-on preview at E3 2016.
