Redmi Pro Camera Samples Show What Its Like To Experience The Rear Camera Of The Smartphone

Redmi Pro is said to the official name of the successor of Redmi Note 3 and the rumors coming in suggest that the smartphone is going to be the first affordable handset to feature a dual-camera. While these samples do not show you the prowess of the dual-camera, they are still very pleasing to look at.

Redmi Pro Camera Samples – Be The Judge Yourself And Tell Us If The Images Are Worth Looking At Or Not

Placing a camera inside a smartphone is a common business, but incorporating a capable sensor with much needed features like OIS and video stabilization is a rarity that you only find on high-end phones. Looking at these camera samples, we’d have to assume that the images deliver a shallow depth of field, which suggests that the smartphone’s camera will have a wide aperture. However, one thing to notice here is that both of these images were taking during daytime, and that’s where cameras show their might often.

However, if you want to test the mettle of a smartphone camera, take some low-light shots and then make a comparison. While cameras are improving slowly, it will definitely take a while for devices to improve low-light shots and video. What we’re really hoping from a Redmi Pro is optimized camera software that all delivers us a manual control mode for both still image capture and video recording. This way, Xiaomi would be catering to the affordable crowd quite effectively.

As for the rest of the hardware, a screen size of 5.5 inches has been listed, and we assume that the resolution is going to be retained at 1080p to allow for additional talk-time to the user. The biggest change is going to come from the internals and we honestly never expected a Helio X25 to be part of the hardware specifications.

For those that don’t know, MediaTek Helio X25 is a slightly more powerful variant of Helio X20. Both chipsets feature Cortex-A72 and Cortex-A53 cores that are paired together in ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture and will feature the following processing cores and clock speed differences.

Helio X20 (MT6797)

  • Two Cortex-A72 cores running at 2.1-2.3GHz
  • Four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.85GHz
  • Four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.4GHz
  • ARM Mali-T8800 running at 780MHz

Helio X25 (MT6797T)

  • Two Cortex-A72 cores running at 2.5GHz
  • Four Cortex-A53 cores running at 2.0GHz
  • Four Cortex-A53 cores running at 1.55GHz
  • ARM Mali-T8800 running at 850MHz

While a Helio X25 is going to be present, the leak from Twitter also suggests that 4GB of RAM is going to be a part of the hardware. While this is more impressive, we suspect that a Snapdragon 652 could be present in the international variant of the device. This is probably not going to be the only dual-camera smartphone from Xiaomi, since there are rumors that both Mi Note 2 and Mi5s will come stacked with the same upgrade, but it could be the most affordable dual-camera smartphone that you guys could ever come across.
