Nintendo’s new game console is all but officially revealed. The company is anticipated to take the industry by storm next year with its neoteric hardware that will cater to the gaming and entertainment needs of fans, and will allow developers and publishers to once again add Nintendo to their list of up-to-date platform holders, and it seems like that’s exactly what they want to do. Take-Two Interactive, for one, hasn’t lost faith in Nintendo, and is quite “enthusiastic” about the upcoming hardware, codenamed NX.

"We Never Want to Count Nintendo Out," Says Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick

Take-Two Interactive, an American multinational video game company responsible for publishing widely hit and best-selling IPs like Grand Theft Auto, BioShock and XCOM, hasn’t contributed much to the wide section of notable games that have been released on Nintendo hardware over the time. However, that doesn’t mean the company has no love left for the Japanese console maker. CEO Strauss Zelnick recently spoke about Nintendo while talking to GamesIndustry.biz, saying that the company is “ pretty enthusiastic” about Nintendo NX.

"We're believers. We never want to count Nintendo out. They do it over and over and over again. So we feel pretty enthusiastic really."

Zelnick didn’t say anything that would suggest the company is already involved, or planning to get started as soon as possible with the upcoming system, but of course, he clearly is excited about what Nintendo has in store. Zelnick further shared his thoughts on the Japanese console giant’s current standing in the industry following Wii U's failure to make the charts, which is in stark contrast to its predecessor; Wii. He said:

"It's not a slump, it's intentional. They come to market, they do really well, and then they sort of exit the market for a period of time. They've been doing it for like 150 years ... They're really thoughtful, they come to market with something they really think is going to work, more often than not it really works, it blows up, and then eventually they let it decline and they move on to the next thing. They don't mind having time in between.”

Nintendo has confirmed its highly anticipated console's global release date is in March 2017. The company has also pointed out that information on the NX and a proper reveal is being held back in order to protect a unique element of the system.
