Pokémon GO Session Leads Wanted Man To A Police Station

Even since the release of Pokémon GO, there have been an abounding number of tales. Some of them are amusing, while some of them have scarred those who were involved in that particular incident, but one 26-year old wanted man must be hitting himself in the face when the continuous hunt of pocket monsters lead him straight to a police station. Here is how the story unfolded.

Wanted Man Who Failed To Appear In Court Has Pokémon GO To Thank For Leading Him Straight To A Police Station

In Milford, Michigan, a 26-year old wanted man by the name of William Wilcox had himself taken into police custody while playing Pokémon GO. According to sources close to the matter, police chief Tom Lindberg states that the individual had complete knowledge that the police station was a gym, but it was his bad luck that he thought the authorities would not recognize the wanted man.

Lindberg stated that Wilcox was busy in his Pokémon GO session wearing his pajamas and was completely oblivious to the fact that he did not notice the authorities watching him. To be honest, the game has that effect on people, since you’ve all read the series of accidents that have taken place ever since its release. However, when it came to arresting the individual, Wilcox did not put up a fight at all, but he was more upset about the fact that he was forced to stop playing his favorite game rather than being apprehended by the authorities.

Luckily for him, Wilcox can continue to playing Pokémon GO because he was released on a personal bond. Regardless, the game might have had an adverse effect on the lives of people, but it is refreshing to hear that justice was rightfully served.
