Koei Tecmo's Berserk, the upcoming Warriors series styled hack and slash game based on the manga series created by Kentaro Miura, is promising to be the darkest action game developed by Omega Force, with plenty of violence and fearsome monsters. While all Berserk fans will surely be happy to wreak havoc among the monstrous army of the God Hand with Guts, some of them will be equally pleased to know that they will be able to play as one of the most popular Apostles.

Earlier today, the Japanese magazine Famitsu posted a preview of the Berserk coverage included in the upcoming new issue of the magazine, confirming that Nosferatu Zodd, is going to be playable in the game. Also shown in the preview is the first look at Guts' Berserker Armor, which will change the character's moves in ways yet to be detailed. You can check out today's Famitsu preview right below.

Two weeks ago, more Berserk screenshots have emerged online. The screenshots focus on two of the confirmed playable characters, Serpico and Schierke, as they fight some of the game's powerful monsters.

Following the original announcement, Koei Tecmo confirmed that Berserk is also going to be released in North America and Europe this Fall on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. A final title for the game has yet to be announced, but more should become available as we get closer to its release window.

“Berserk (working title) will fuse the signature ‘one versus thousands’ style action of the long-running Warriors franchise with the grim and gruesome atmosphere of the world of Berserk. As players harness the power of Guts’ great sword and utilize the swift and agile swordplay of Griffith to slash and smash through hordes of enemies, players familiar with the Warriors series will be able to feel the difference in gameplay through the way each character handles combat. The game will also incorporate various battle mechanics to better bring the world of Berserk to life, such as magic and transformations.”

Berserk launches this Fall in North America and Europe on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. We will let you know about the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
