Batman - The Telltale Series first episode, called Realm Of Shadows, has been released this week on PC and consoles, but the PC version of the game suffers from some very serious issues which are making the game not enjoyable for most. Telltale Games has been gathering feedback on the game's performance issues, and things have started moving in the right direction.

A few hours ago, a new Batman - The Telltale Series PC patch has been made available, introducing new graphics setting which should improve performance for some. The update also automatically defaults the game to run on dedicated graphics cards.

Adds graphics settings to enable selection of Higher Performance Textures or Higher Quality Textures (please select Higher Performance if performance is an issue)

According to what the team has gathered, most of the game's performance issues are caused by the game running on integrated graphics cards or by out of date drivers. Most of Telltale Games' adventure titles run without any major issue on integrated graphics cards, so it's definitely strange that Batman - The Telltale Series cannot do the same.

We are aware that some users have experienced performance issues with BATMAN - The Telltale Series on Steam when playing on PC. Investigations indicate that many of these issues appear to have been due to running the game on integrated graphics cards rather than dedicated, or were the result of out of date drivers.

The latest PC doesn't fix all the issues found in the game, but it's a step in the right direction. The team is continuing to work on fixing the game, so it shouldn't take too long to see another patch.

Batman - The Telltale Series is now available on PC and consoles in all regions.
