OnePlus 3 Manages To Survive A 750 foot Drop – Watch The Video Right Here

OnePlus 3 might be reinforced with Gorilla Glass 4, but even that is not sufficient enough for the smartphone to survive when it gets dropped from a significant height. On this occasion, the affordable flagship manages to survive a 750 foot drop, but here’s the real story behind it.

OnePlus 3 Survives Because It Was Not Dropped On Solid Concrete Or A Hard Surface – Watch The Video To See The Proof

OnePlus decided to showcase the durability of its Snapdragon 820 powered smartphone, but it looks like they decided to cross the limits when it comes to the survivability ratio of a smartphone. Being dropped from a height of 750 feet definitely means that there are going to be bits and pieces of the device lying around, but the truth is that the handset landed on grass, which definitely cushioned its blow by a huge margin. If the same thing would have happened on a hard surface, the smartphone wouldn’t be functional to tell the tale of the gauntlet that it just survived.

As for the hardware, OnePlus 3 features a screen size of 5.5-inch and sports a different Optic AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p. This is different compared to the Super AMOLED or regular AMOLED display that has become a common occurrence in mobile devices these days. A Snapdragon 820 SoC, and a 3,000mAh battery that provides support for OnePlus Dash Charge technology are also present.

Once again, the company has left out one of the most important features from a smartphone; a MicroSD card slot, but the company did incorporate 64GB of UFS 2.0 storage, which will come in handy when you want to record 4K footage at 30FPS. Apart from recording footage at the granddaddy of all resolutions, OnePlus 3 also comes with a 16MP Sony IMX298 camera sensor, and for those that don’t know, this is the same sensor that is present at the rear side of Huawei Mate 8, the previous generation flagship.

For a 6GB RAM smartphone, a $399 smartphone with a full metal jacket is really hard to believe, but we can safely say that it is one of the most affordable 6GB RAM Android phones available to the public right now.
