With August passing by slowly, Samsung's Exynos 8895 has started to become an increasing part of the rumor mill. As the launch of the Galaxy Note 7 is behind us, the next Samsung device to look forward to is the Galaxy S8. By the looks of things, the Exynos 8895 should be the processor powering the smartphone. It's expected to be manufactured on 10nm FinFET. Recent information has painted quite a bright picture for it as well. After all, 2016 was a slow year when it comes to mobile hardware. We've manged to spot some more alleged information about the processor. Take a look below.

Samsung LSI Has Started Exynos 8895 Testing; Processor Clocking At Impressive Frequencies Claims Source

When it comes to resources, Samsung faces no shortage. The Korean tech giant manufacturers almost every type of consumer electronics and gadgets out there. This scale helps it stay ahead of technological trends. In fact, Samsung was one of the first fabs in 2016 to declare that it was well on its way to 10nm. This should manifest on the Exynos 8895, which is shaping up to be quite a processor indeed.

Now, more sources have started to speak up on the processor. According to news from the East, Samsung LSI has started to test the Exynos 8895. Alleged clock speeds for the processor look to be nothing short of impressive. Only yesterday we saw information surface that the Exynos 8895 will be able to achieve speeds of up to 4.0Ghz. Now, more sources are corroborating this claim. Not only has the large core cluster of the Exynos 8895 managed to touch 4Ghz, but the smaller Cortex A53 cluster isn't that far behind either.

The small Cortex A53 core cluster on the Exynos 8895 has been able to achieve frequencies of 2.7Ghz. As you can see in the image above, this exceeds the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830. The Snapdragon 830 will also be manufactured on the 10nm FinFET process. Given that today's source also claims that power consumption levels on both the processors will be the same, looks like Samsung's heading for another strong year in 2017.

In Q1 2017, Samsung will launch the Exynos 8895. That leaves us with more than four months until the processor sees the light of day. Therefore, today's information is nothing but initial rumors. 10nm on mobile will pave the way for greater computing speeds and power efficiency. We're eager to see how it shapes up next year. Till then, stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below. We'll keep you updated on the latest.
