In the Apple camp, Cupertino's all done with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. It's the company's high performance gadgets that are now due for updates. Out of these, it's been the MacBook Pro that has seen a majority of leaks so far. The updated notebook lineup is expected at the end of October. Another Apple product which is expected to be upgraded soon is the 27" iMac model with 5K display. Today, some more details have surfaced for the device. Take a look below to find out more.
Alleged 27 Inch 5K Retina iMac Listed On Best Buy With Price Tag Of $3,199
Intel's Kaby Lake has been the major source of contention for Apple's upcoming products. When we talk about the MacBook Pro, the latest processor lineup from Intel lines us up for quite a bit of disappointment. Analysts believe that the notebook lineup will feature Intel's Skylake. This is due to the fact that production for the notebook started early in 2016, when it would have been impossible for Apple to use the chipsets for its notebooks.
Now, we've managed to get our hands on what appears to be a 5K iMac listing on retailer Best Buy. It features a complete list of the specifications that you'd expect on the iMac. It might not be accurate however, given a couple of specifications. We'll start off with the processor, which is listed with a seventh generation, Intel Kaby Lake Core i7. That however, is the last impressive and/or authentic looking specification.
Coupled with the Core i7, you'll also get 32GB of memory, 2TB of internal storage and a 27 inch 5120x2880 Retina Display. This will end up costing you $3,199. It's listed with AMD's Radeon M9 M380 graphics chip, which is a bit odd. Existing iMacs from Apple feature the company's M395 GPU. This leads us to doubt the credibility of today's posting. Still, it's good food for thought, especially the bit about Kaby Lake.
Apple's expected to launch several major upgrades by the end of this month. The MacBook Pro is definitely the most interesting out of these. The notebook lineup is expected to feature a LED function bar, TouchID and more features that will make it very different from its processors.
