Microsoft is sending out invites to press and analysts for an October 26 event. The Surface event will also be livestreamed starting 10 am Eastern Time.
The Windows 10 and Surface event in the New York City will focus on new hardware and Windows 10 developments. The company is going to talk about the next two major Windows 10 software updates, along with some Xbox announcements. Analysts don't expect any big hardware announcements from the software giant, as Microsoft is going to focus more on its vision for the future of Windows 10. We might get to hear about some exciting new features that the company will roll out in the software updates next year. Some of these features will also tie in the gaming experience, so tune in for some gaming-related announcements too.
All-in-one desktop PC expected at the Surface event
The invite itself also doesn't give away any clues to hardware releases, and reads "the next chapter in the Windows story." Reports, however, say that the company will talk about its OEM devices. We have seen a number of rumors about Microsoft working on an iMac-like Surface all-in-one device with a Surface keyboard and mouse. Just a few days ago we saw the Surface keyboard and mouse leaks suggesting this all-in-one desktop. Following these leaks, the company is strongly expected to release at least one of these new all-in-one desktop PCs.

The Verge has also corroborated these rumors and further says sources familiar with Microsoft's plans suggest that "the company isn't planning to refresh its Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book devices at the event, and will showcase laptops and devices from OEMs instead."
Recently, Microsoft officials confirmed there will no updates to Band device this year. And looking at how Windows 10 Mobile development is going, don't expect any new Microsoft phones too. If anything, the rumored Surface Phone won't be released before fall 2017.
For later this October, expect Microsoft to talk about its vision for Windows 10 and some all-in-one products to support that future.
