With the announcement of the Microsoft Surface Book i7, the software giant has managed to cram in more firepower inside its first ever laptop, while keeping the form factor the same. However, this much power will naturally require an efficient thermal solution, and according to Microsoft, the company has improved that as well.

Microsoft Surface Book i7 Boasts Twice the Graphics Horsepower While Delivering up to 16 Hours of Battery Life

By adding more batteries to the notebook, Surface Book i7 actually boasts battery life up to 16 hours, but then again, this will stress how much you’re actually taxing the notebook. The company also went on to say that it is three times powerful than the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro. Perhaps the company meant the previous generation because the one being announced tomorrow will have different levels of performance, not to mention completely different features to look forward to. After redesigning the notebook from the inside, the company was not only able to achieve better battery life but better graphics horsepower.

The Surface Book i7 is able to deliver 1.9 teraflops of computing power, which it should since it features an i7 processor. However, the company didn’t mention which CPU model is going to be present inside, and if we were to take a hint, we’d say that due to the small amount of thickness of the notebook, it will feature an i7 processor with a dual-core setup. However, we’ll still be waiting for more details to follow to examine the details of the notebook so stay tuned for that.

As for the pricing, this much firepower, and extended battery will certainly demand a price tag, and the upgraded Surface Book i7 is going to carry a price of $2,399. You can pre-order the notebook today and it will be available during the month of October. For its price tag, do you believe that the notebook will sell better than the original Surface Book?
