OnePlus 3 out of stock

OnePlus teased us about the upcoming smartphone and from a design standpoint, it looks exactly like the Snapdragon 820-powered handset. If you visit the company’s website right now and attempt to place your order for OnePlus 3, it will be out of stock, most likely because the company wants you to check out the powerful OnePlus 3T before settling on your purchase.

OnePlus 3T’s Imminent Announcement Probably Means You Won’t Be Able to Secure Yourself a OnePlus 3 Purchase

In my opinion, OnePlus has done a clever thing from a business point of view. Removing the option to place your order for a OnePlus 3 only means that you will have to wait till the OnePlus 3T announcement is over, and chances are the rumored upgrades expected to be present inside the smartphone will be reason enough for you upgrade to the better performing gadget.

Earlier, Qualcomm had teased which chipset will be present inside OnePlus 3T. Though the Snapdragon 821 is the most powerful SoC present in Android phones right now, the increased clock speeds will make it a battery guzzler. However, the battery guzzling attribute of the chipset will be reduced thanks to the 3,300mAh cell that’s rumored to be present inside the smartphone.

Another difference is that the OnePlus 3T could feature an LCD screen as opposed to the Super AMOLED panel on the OnePlus 3. This will reduce the rich colors that the Super AMOLED display produces, but some consumers will prefer IPS LCD displays because they create a near ‘true to life’ color tone rather than over saturating the result.

One other claim suggests that OnePlus 3T will have a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor and could be just the third smartphone after Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 edge to feature a smartphone camera aperture of F/1.7. However, with all of these upgrades, you should expect to a pay a higher price tag for the Android flagship smartphone. Naturally, there were a few hiccups with OnePlus 3, and I am hoping that with the announcement of OnePlus 3T, the manufacturer bridges that gap to an extent.
