Finally, you can put your hoop skills to the test for real. NBA 2KVR Experience is the first virtual reality basketball game coming to PSVR, HTC Vive, Samsung Gear VR.

In the NBA 2KVR Experience, you'll take part of a number of mini-games and challenges as Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George. He'll provide commentary and tips during said mini-games such as Three-Point, skills challenge, time attack, and Buzzer Beater. Buzzer beater and Three-Point seems like they are going to be crowd favorites.

There's some heavy cross-promotion with Gatorade in which you'll earn 'Gatorade fuel boosts' that'll provide temporary stat boosts to give you an edge in each of these events. You'll need every advantage you can get if you want to climb the leaderboards and see how you stack up with the rest of the world.

Greg Thomas of Visual Concepts discussed what fans should expect from NBA 2KVR.

Our team consistently looks for new ways to deliver unique, fun experiences for the gamer.  NBA 2KVR will give fans even more access to our franchise and test new skills across entertaining VR challenges.

For now, the only court available is Bankers Life Fieldhouse, which is the home of the Indiana Pacers. No word on whether they are adding new courts. It would be great to tour some of the NBA's impressive arenas.

Paul George (cover star of NBA 2K17) shared his excitement about the franchise coming to VR:

As a lifelong fan of NBA 2K, it’s exciting to see them take the leap into VR, and even more exciting that it’ll be on my home court. I can’t wait for fans to dominate on the virtual court with virtual help from Gatorade.

2KVR will be available beginning on November 22nd on PSVR, HTC Vive, and Samsung Gear VR and cost $14.99. Our own Rosh Kelly shared his thoughts of NBA 2K17 in his recent review of the impressive basketball game.
