Beta 4 of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 & watchOS 3.1.1 Released

Apple has seeded beta 4 of iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 and watchOS 3.1.1 to download. The updates are available for registered developers only.

Apple Updates its Software that is Currently in Pre-Release Channel

iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2, watchOS 3.1.1 as well as tvOS 10.1 are bound for release later this year. But right now, everything is in beta stages for developers to try out. Today though, the company has updated the first three out of four software, pushing them to beta 4. If you have either one installed on your device right now, here's how you can update.

iOS 10.2 Beta 4

  • Launch the Settings app.
  • Navigate to General > Software Update.
  • Tap on Download and Install.

The iOS 10.2 Beta restore images can be downloaded directly from the Apple Developer Program website. Of course, you need to be a registered developer in order to access these bits.

macOS 10.12.2 Beta 4

  • Launch Mac App Store.
  • Click on Updates tab.
  • Once the new beta build pops up, click on the Update button next to it.

Just like iOS 10.2, macOS 10.12.2 is available to try for free from: beta.apple.com

watchOS 3.1.1 Beta 4

  • Place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger.
  • Launch Watch app on your iPhone.
  • Navigate to General > Software Update.
  • As soon as the new update becomes available, tap on Download and Install.

The installation will take quite some time as everything is happening over Bluetooth so please exercise some patience.
