Disable the Wallpaper Perspective 'Depth' Effect in iOS 10 By Switching to a 'Still' Wallpaper
Although Apple follows a flat-out design throughout iOS, the wallpaper that rests behind our lock and home screens does not. The company decided it was warranted to throw in something cool into the mix, creating an illusion of depth. While that's great and all, but it can get annoying to look at. For some people, it can become a cause for motion sickness. The wise thing to do here is disable the feature altogether, bringing in a perfectly still wallpaper. But of course, you want to do this without having to turn off the Reduce Motion feature in Accessibility. In today's guide we will show you how you can do just that.
Tutorial
1. Go to the Settings app.
2. Tap on Wallpaper.
3. Now Choose a New Wallpaper.
4. Select any wallpaper from here. For the sake of this guide I'll be going ahead with the stock options. This works with any wallpaper, really.
5. Once you are about to set the wallpaper, make sure you select Still from the option at the bottom before tapping on Set.
Well, that's it. Move your iPhone or iPad around and you will notice zero depth effect throughout. Everything will be still regardless of what you do.

For a lot of users, the Perspective effect looks awesome, especially if you have a wallpaper that has a lot going on. Something that is filled with loads of objects and whatnot. On a rather bland backdrop, things look pretty dull on their own. The choice is completely yours what sort of effect you like to have on the wallpaper. For me, I like things on the Still side of the fence. It's far more easier on the eye and doesn't give me a sense of falling apart.
If you want to go all out in terms of cutting down motion, then you can head over to Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion and turn the option ON. It will completely cut down animations and parallax effects in iOS 10, making things flatter than flat. In fact, opting for this feature might even make your iPhone or iPad fast in a lot of cases. After all, your device is no longer rendering a zoom in or zoom out effect as you are jumping straight into action.
