Brutal New Nioh Screenshots Showcase Locations, Bosses, Weapons And Much More

With the Dark Souls series seemingly done, at least for the time being, those looking for a brutally challenging action role-playing game are eagerly anticipating Team Ninja's Nioh. While the game is still a few months away, publisher Koei Tecmo is already promoting the game as much as possible with new footage and new screens, and today some brutal new Nioh screenshots have been made available

Earlier today, the game's Official Japanese Website has been updated with a new batch of Nioh screenshots, which showcase some of the game's locations, bosses, and weapons, including the recently revealed Kusarigama. You can check out the new screenshots right below.

Last month, Sony and Koei Tecmo confirmed that Nioh will come with extensive PlayStation 4 Pro support, allowing players to customize their experience in several ways. Regular PlayStation 4 owners will also a few options to choose from like it was in the game's alpha and beta versions.

PS4, Option 1: “Movie Mode”
This mode focuses on resolution over frame rate, offering beautiful high resolution graphics with stable 30fps

PS4, Option 2: “Action Mode”
Here the emphasis is on frame rate, providing a stable 60fps

PS4, Option 3: “Movie Mode (Variable frame rate)”
Finally, this option provides high resolution graphics with a variable frame rate that may go over 30fps.

PS4 Pro, HD display. Option 1: “Movie Mode”
Stable 1920×1080 resolution with high quality anti-aliasing at 30fps

PS4 Pro, HD display. Option 2: “Action Mode”
Stable 1920×1080 resolution at 60fps
