This week, the upcoming Nintendo Switch made its debut on TV during the Jimmy Fallon show, with Nintendo of America's president Reggie Fils-Aimè letting Jimmy play through a short The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild segment. Now that we have seen the console in action, many are wondering about the different controller options, and it seems like the Nintendo Switch won't be that different from the most recent Nintendo home consoles.

Speaking with CNET about the mobile game Super Mario Run, Reggie confirmed that the Nintendo Switch will have a variety of "input devices", a statement which seems to suggest that controllers other than JoyCon and the Pro Controller will be available for the console.

Development for Super Mario Run is different than development for Nintendo Switch. With Switch we're going to have a variety of input devices, a variety of ways for you to interact with the game.

No matter Nintendo's plans for its upcoming console, it seems like things are finalized, or very close to it. According to a rumor that has surfaced online yesterday, the final devkit is being shipped to developers, with specs being not that different from the devkit that has been sent a few months back. Additionally, Nintendo is trying to increase battery life from the rumored 3 hours of the older devkit to 5/8 hours, a battery life that's closer to the New 3DS.

Yesterday, a new Nintendo Switch exclusive game has been revealed. The game is called Seasons of Heaven and it's being developed by French studio AnyArts Productions.

The Nintendo Switch console launches this coming March in all regions. We will keep you updated on the next Nintendo console as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
