If you're a Snapchat user and like group chats, we've got some great news for you today. The advent of IM apps has resulted in users being in touch with various social circles simultaneously and 24/7. Now, Snapchat's looking to further improve user experience. The popular app has made some updates today, which you can find out about below.

Snapchat Adds Group Chats And Tool To Turn Snaps In Stickies

Now, you'll be able to Snapchat your photographs in new and exciting ways. The app allows users to continuously update their social circle in the form of photographs. Whether you like sharing your day to day activities, or to keep a record of major events, Snapchat's there to provide an effective tool for all that. With today's update, there's room for making this experience both private and selectively public.

The app now offers group chats and the option to make your Snaps as stickies. Got a particular moment you wouldn't like to forget? Convert it in a sticky to make sure it, um, 'sticks around'. You'll be able to achieve this by using a Scissors tool which allows you to trim photos before selecting them. The group feature is more advanced and allows users to create groups of up to 16 friends at once. It also allows users to switch between individual and group chats.

Delete Snapchat Account

According to the app, "When your friends are present in a Group Chat, we show their name at the bottom of the Chat. Simply tap their name to start a 1:1 Chat, and then easily return to the Group in one swipe! We call this Quick Chat, and it’s the fastest way to keep the conversation going with one friend without spamming the entire Group.'' Snaps are also deleted by default after 24 hours, with each group member being able to view the snap only once in 24 hours.

"Chats sent to a Group are deleted by default after 24 hours. Snaps sent to a Group can be opened and replayed just once by each recipient. If a Snap isn’t opened, it’s deleted after 24 hours, just like Chats." After the launch of Snapchat Spectacles last month, the company's eager to keep a focus on photos and give competition to the likes of Facebook Messenger and Whatsapp. Thoughts?
