Apple has released beta 2 of iOS 10.2.1 and macOS 10.12.3 to developers and public testers. Here's how you can update to it right away.
Second Betas of iOS 10.2.1 & macOS 10.12.3 Have Arrived
Apple released the first ever betas of iOS 10.2.1, macOS 10.12.3 and tvOS 10.1.1 last week. A day after release, the company followed up by pushing public beta builds for testers to try out. Now, the company is pushing its development work further by releasing iOS 10.2.1 beta 2 and macOS 10.12.3 beta 2 to developers and testers both.
If you have either update installed on your device, then you will be pleased to learn that you can grab the latest build over the air, without having to be tethered to anything. iOS 10.2.1 Beta users can go to Settings > General > Software Update to grab the update over the air. macOS 10.12.3 Beta users on the other hand, can launch the Mac App Store and download the latest update from the Updates section of the store.
Please make sure your devices are fully charged before going ahead with the update just to be on the safe side of the fence. It's best to leave your device on charge while the update process is happening. Take the route which suites you best though. As long as you end up with the latest build installed, you are golden.
Developers who are looking to install iOS 10.2.1 or macOS 10.12.3 from scratch can head over to the Apple Developer Program website. Over here you'll find all the necessary bits in order to kick things into high gear. If you are not a developer though, then you can download the aforementioned updates for free by heading over to beta.apple.com. The Beta Software Program only allows installation over the air, however. This also means you won't lose your files and data if you have opted to install the latest update.
