Bioshock The Collection PC update

A new Bioshock The Collection PC update is being deployed which fixes a Vsync issue alongside various crashing bugs.

The update is available now and weighs in at 1.1GB. Check out the release notes for PC Update 2 down below:

  • Fixes flickering Vsync bug
  • Various bugs causing crashing
  • Renamed EXEs to load correct optimizations for 3rd party applications, libraries, and drivers.
  • Please Note: Due to this change, If you try to launch the title and get a “Missing executable” error, please restart Steam.

Bioshock Remastered was an absolute mess when it launched on PC some months ago, and some Steam users even called the remaster “Bioshock Retextured”. 2K released a PC patch back in October to address some of the issues reported, but the game still suffers from bad performance and random crashes.

Bioshock: The Collection was officially announced back in June. The collection includes all three BioShock games and single player DLC, remastered for modern machines. Note that Bioshock: Infinite hasn’t been remastered for PC due to being fairly recent.

Bioshock: The Collection is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
