Google is ready to launch two new products now that the company has officially upgraded its stock-Android lineup with the release of the Pixel family. However, according to the latest info, they are not going to be named after the smartphones the company announced not too long ago.
Upcoming Google Smartwatches Are Going to Be Branded by Other Manufacturers, Not by the Company Itself
Earlier this year, Google was reported to be launching two new Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches and both of them were leaked to feature a round face. Since consumers have started to get acclimatized to seeing a round watch face, what better way to show these renders than by a round watch face as well. Looking at the size differences between the wearables, we have to state that both devices are going to carry a different level of features and pricing.
According to the previous leak, the larger one will feature a size of 43.5mm and possesses the codename Angelfish. Angelfish is going to offer you a boatload of features ranging from a heart-rate monitor, GPS, and LTE modem. According to Google's product manager for Android Wear Jeff Chang, he’s confirmed that the company is going to be announcing two new wearables that will be running Android Wear 2.0. The executive also revealed that the Wear 2.0's final developer preview will be released in January, and should add support for Android Pay and Google Assistant, two major features that have been high on the list of requests from Wear users.
These smartwatches are not going to feature the brand name Google, but the manufacturer’s name instead. Given below are some candidates that could be releasing a smartwatch in collaboration with the tech giant.
