[Update] Following CoroCoro revealing the Spring 2017 release window for The Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild, both Emily Rogers and Laura Kate Dale stated that the game should be expected in March, at least in North America.

[Original Story] A few months back, a couple informed insiders revealed that The Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild, the latest entry in the series coming to Wii U and Switch this year, may be released in all regions no sooner than Summer 2017 due to some localization issues that were forcing Nintendo to release the game after the Switch launches in all regions. Last week, a GAME advertisement revealed that the game will be released this March, and today something else indicates that The Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild may indeed be released together or shortly after the Switch release.

Japanese magazine CoroCoro, mostly known for revealing Pokémon franchise related information, revealed in its latest issue that The Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild will be out during Spring 2017. No other information is revealed, but with the Switch January Presentation right behind the corner, it won't take too long to know if The Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild will be a Switch launch title.

As already mentioned, The Legend Of Zelda Breath of the Wild is rumored to release during Summer 2017 due to localization issues. According to the rumor, localization work should be done by now, but additional months are required for testing.

That brings us to the month of November. More sources have now come forward and corroborated my information. They’ve told me that localization for Breath of the Wild might not be finished until the end of December. After localization is completed, this game will require between (at least) four-to-six months of testing. As I mentioned earlier, this is one of Nintendo’s largest and most ambitious games ever. The amount of testing required for a huge open-world game like this is enormous. Nintendo’s intention is to have the game as bug free as possible. Based on what I’ve heard, I have no reason to believe that Breath of the Wild will be a March title. There’s a much higher chance of Breath of the Wild being a summer 2017 game.

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild will launch next year in all regions on Wii U and Switch. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
