ATI has leaked the codenames of its upcoming HD 6000 series graphic cards in its new Catalyst 10.8 drivers suite. There are 35 new cards coming from ATI which were listed in the atiicdxx.da_ file, However there are only codenames so expect no new specs details or information about the card other than that.
From the list we have came to know that a total of 11 GPU's will be based on the Cayman Core which will replace the HD 5800 series graphic cards. However not all the GPU's will be made for consumer's as 9 of the Cayman cards will be eserved for the professional market, while two other Antilles dual-GPU based cards are also listed which belong to the Cayman Series.
There's also Blackbomb and Barts cards coming up too, Each will introduce 4 new cards. The Barts is said to replace the Juniper core and will include a professional card too, No idea about Blackbomb though as which it will replace. Other than that there's no chance that a dual gpu can be expected from these.
Barts on the other hand is also followed by four Whistler cards and three cards which are based on the Turks core which will replace the HD 5600 Series Graphics cards. Seymour (Skinner) also comes in four iterations, two of which are “Gemini” cards. The last three Caicos based cards, From which one is codenamed Caspian will replace the HD 5400 Series cards.
