Marvel’s Iron Fist Gets First Trailer, Out Next Month

Not wanting to leave all the excitement to the Superbowl, Netflix today dropped the first trailer for its latest Marvel series - Iron Fist. Premiering on Netflix on March 17th, our first look at Iron Fist shows Game of Thrones' Finn Jones kicking some serious ass.

Based on the Marvel character of the same name, the show tells the story of unlikely hero, Danny Rand. Rand is a New York billionaire who's presumed dead after a fatal childhood plane crash leads him stranded on the other side of the planet. Returning home to reclaim the company that is his birthright, Rand meets some resistance from psychotic Rand Industry boss David Meachum (David Wenham). Luckily for Danny, he's spent that  last decade learning martial arts in the mountains. Teaming up with ally Collen Wing (Jessica Fenwick) the trailer shows Rand opening several cans of whoop-ass on all manner of thugs.

It all looks very silly, featuring a lot of slow mo punching and 2009-era dubstep.

Still, with Iron Fist being the last hero joining Marvel's TV team-up show, The Defenders - expect some cool cameos at the very list. The Defenders is currently set to be an eight episode one off series, featuring a reluctant collaboration between Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.
