Xiaomi Mi MIX II more screen less bezels

The announcement of the Mi MIX silenced critics and wowed the crowd as Xiaomi unveiled what individuals referred to as one of the most appealing smartphones of 2016. The manufacturer followed up with a white colored Mi MIX and it looks like its successor is going to share the same traits as the aesthetically appealing wonder announced back in 2016, according to the company’s CEO.

Xiaomi’s CEO Shares That the Mi MIX II Is Going to Go One Step Further With Even Smaller Bezels

With the Mi MIX’s screen-to-body ratio going as high as an impressive 91.3 percent, how is Xiaomi going to top this? According to a Weibo update, it has been reported that designer Philippe Starck, who previously worked on the previous Mi Mix, will be returning to design the new phone.

It appears that the two have already met and gone over the design of the Mi MIX II and intend to bring an innovative design to life with the upcoming flagship, which rumors claim will have a screen-to-body ratio of 93 percent. When compared to 91.3 percent, a jump to 93 percent might not be all that much, but the lesser number of bezels remain, the more difficult it becomes to make a practical working phone like this.

It looks like the upcoming Mi MIX II will have the same ceramic body, making it as brittle as its predecessor. However, this time we want to see hardware stabilization on the rear and front camera as these were elements that were not present on the original smartphone, along with less appealing image quality in varying levels of lighting according to the comparisons that we’ve seen before. A faster camera sensor should definitely be a must because then it will be the entire package; a phone that not only looks spectacular but performs spectacularly at the same time.
