In today’s constantly changing world, one has to stay in communication with others and be up to date with others, without having any of the drawbacks. And as we look back in the last decade we had rapidly progressed from wired to wireless in the means of communication.
Wireless stereo headsets have been in the market for quiet sometime now but not many have been able to capture the audience like the one we are reviewing today.

Avantalk, a company specializing in BT technology and products has come up with a creative design combined with latest A2DP technology in their Joytune series of their BT handsfree sets. This hands-free is aimed towards those who prefer of talking at ease when travelling for instance, in a car or want to listen to music on their car audio systems through FM. Additionally, Joytune is a smart device with connectivity options with your laptop’s BT connection as well as through USB (cable provided) and becomes your communication device for voice chat using MSN, Yahoo! Messenger or even Skype (For PC even or if your phone supports those applications).

Posed as a car hands free, this does the job pretty well head on. Convenient size for portability and handling, the Avantalk Joytune sure packs a lot of specs to begin with!

Avantalk Joytune (BTCK-19T) is a Bluetooth TTS Car Kit with FM function. The FM support A2DP STEREO music to enjoy quality stereo music in phone/iPod/MP3 via Car's audio system. The Text-To-Speech Voice to announce caller name or operation status in 5 languages(EN, ES, FR, DE, IT).

Packaging:

First Thoughts:

The hands-free comes in a box with front opening face exposing the headset through clear plastic packing. The contents of the box are generally standard with:

  • Avantalk Joytune Stereo Handsfree
  • USB charging cable
  • Retainer clip
  • Car Charger
  • User manual
  • Warranty card

The construction and design of the Joytune itself is quite attractive. And we do get of bunch of features with it like Phonebook download support, Auto awake when car door open, Bluetooth V2.1+EDR technology, and a patented sleek design. Avantalk Joytune is indeed a high-quality, easy-use, yet also nice looking Bluetooth Hands-free Car Kit.

The weight of Avantalk Joytune is merely around 65 grams.

Connectivity:

Pairing was no difficult at all. Just simply enter the ‘0000’ code when pairing with the hands free.

We had also tried pairing it with our laptop running on Windows 7 Home Premium. We had no issues connecting to the headset and also easily connected to Skype using the hands-free kit with none of the drawbacks.

Working on Calls and Music:

Avantalk’s Joytune had been previously reviewed and that had actually impressed us with its crystal clear sound quality. That doesn’t lag here either. The music is loud and clear and it provides ample distinction between various instruments being played for all the audiophiles out there. When tried in both a sedan and a hatchback, we found it quite audible when being used as a hands-free with no need of the user having to raise their voice.

Battery:

We get around 9 hours of talk time and about 10 hours of music playing on the Joytune hands-free. Although the ‘Auto Awake On Car Door’ feature might slightly affect the life of the battery when activated.

Final Thoughts:

Avantalk Joytune is another addition to the BT stereo hands-free market segment for consumers. Considering you also get the functionality of a BT headset with more options like pairing it up with your iPod Touch and streaming sounds via FM to the Stereo isn’t a half bad deal at all.
