Sony has their hands on GeoHot’s PayPal account.

Sony have now been authorized to access all ‘documents sufficient to identify the source of funds in California that went into any PayPal account associated with geohot@gmail.com for the period of January 1, 2009, to February 1, 2011.’

GeoHot first claimed that he never profited from hacking devices such as the iPhone or the PS3, but Sony believes otherwise. They have reasons to believe that he may have been funded by donations from the residents of North Carolina but Hotz is sticking to his claim of never accepting monetary awards in exchange of what he does.

George has lost all this other virtual identities too, his YouTube account, his Gmail Account and even his Twitter! and Sony is still looking to sue anyone who may have posted the encryption key or is passing on hack tools. This litigation has upset the hacker and gamer community immensely and so far it looks like the courts are favoring the big corporation instead of the little man.

Whether GeoHot would win this litigation or not is perhaps the biggest question on everyone's minds but judging by the way things are going right now could this really be his last stand?
