After a hands-on video pretty much revealed the design expected from the HTC U 11, we now come to another important segment of the smartphone; its hardware specifications. Lots of you will be waiting to hear what goodies are stacked inside the flagship and you’ll be impressed to hear that the company has managed to secure itself a Snapdragon 835 rather than the Snapdragon 821 found in the U Ultra.

One important detail from this specifications list is the fact that nowhere will you find a 3.5mm headphone jack listed, meaning that HTC has made its decision on how we will be listening to audio on our flagship smartphones from now on. The specifications image has been posted by serial leakster OnLeaks, and the details also state that by using Bluetooth 4.2, you can enable wireless audio communication between a smartphone and a pair of earphones.
However, it is disappointing to see that the U 11 touts a Snapdragon 835 and 4GB RAM combo, but not a Bluetooth 5.0 upgrade. Still, you’ll be happy to know that the phone features a 5.5-inch Super LCD5 panel with a resolution measuring at 2560 x 1440. In addition to 64GB of native storage, you can expand it all the way up to 2TB via microSD card slot.
Smartphone camera aficionados will be pleased to hear that the 12MP UltraPixel 3 features a F/1.7 aperture as well as a 1.4μm pixel size. The camera also supports slow-mo video recording but the resolution needs to be toned down to 1080p with maximum FPS count reaching 120. There is a 16MP front shooter present, along with a 3,000mAh cell.
From the IP53 water-resistance on the HTC 10, you get the IP67 rating on the U 11, which is a welcome feature, and it looks like the company has placed emphasis on the audio once again. Perhaps this is the reason why we might not get to see a high screen-to-body ratio on the U 11 since there are lots of consumers who prefer high-quality audio emanating from their mobile devices.
