Google has concluded its I/O 2017 keynote and the company’s executives led by CEO Sundar Pichai provided a future map of the company’s plans in various areas including Android, Google Assistant, Google Home and virtual reality. No company ever misses a chance to show off its success and numbers and statistics is the best way to do it. Google wasn’t any different. As the event kicked off in California the executives made sure that all viewers knew what Google has been up to and how successful its ventures have been.
Google's Big Numbers
There is no denying the fact that Android is the world’s biggest mobile OS. A few years ago 1 billion devices used this OS and it seemed like a big deal. Today Google announced that the OS is being used on more 2 billion monthly active devices! Just last week the company crossed this milestone and it is extremely proud of this big number. The big numbers don’t end here. Google Drive is one of the biggest services offered by the company and honestly I don’t know what we would do without it. According to the company, the Drive is being used by over 800 million users!
Astonished yet? Things don’t end here. Google Photos has 500 million active users, 1.2 billion photos per day! Now that’s a lot of pictures I must say. Photos is a very popular feature and it is very useful to many people. You can understand the popularity just by the fact that people upload 1.2 billion photos every day. Google Assistant is available on over 100 million devices. The seven services by Google including Google Maps, YouTube, Chrome, Google Maps, Gmail, Search, and Google Play have also been a success and together have over 1 billion users!
Google has other initiatives that it will launch in the time to come and we are very curious to see what will happen to these numbers when more ventures are launched.
