The smartphone will focus primarily on hardware specifications, according to renders so far. Leaked OnePlus 5 Renders Show Device Clearly, From Multiple Angles; Confirm Industrial Look For The Device

OnePlus always makes big claims for its smartphones prior to their launch. Dubbing them as 'flagship killers', the Chinese manufacturer has created a nice fan following for itself. Its users are loyal, dedicated and wait eagerly for launches. OnePlus' latest 3T had us impressed as well. The smartphone's manufacturing is world class and is way beyond and different from what is offered on the majority of flagships these days.Now, with alleged renders of the OnePlus 5, we might see a similar approach.

The OnePlus 5 will feature a simple, industrial look. It'll remind you of Sony's approach with its devices, one that Apple adopted and made a couple of tweaks to with its post 2000 gadgets. Today's leaks suggest that the device will feature rounded corners, antenna bands at the top and bottom quarters of its back and an oval, front facing fingerprint sensor.

There isn't an earphone jack on the device either, according to the image above. We aren't sure right now whether OnePlus will follow Apple's approach this year. A lot of fresh leaks suggest that this will be the case, so you can say goodbye to your favorite wired headpieces. At the specifications end, the OnePlus 5 will be adequate to compete with 2017's top smartphones. The smartphone will feature the Snapdragon 835, couple with 6GB RAM.

At the rear of the phone, you'll get a dual camera setup. This will carry 16MP resolution for both the sensors, adequate for most users and the majority of circumstances. Battery capacity for the device will stand at 3600mAh. Standard storage for the device will stand at 64GB. Even more interesting are rumors about a 256GB variant for the device.
