Getting their act together after the Galaxy Note7 fallout and Samsung came through with one of the gorgeous looking smartphones for 2017, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. According to a Samsung official, the company’s latest and greatest offering is outperforming its predecessor, the Galaxy S7 by a huge mile.

Galaxy S8 Reportedly Selling Almost Two Times as Fast as the Galaxy S7 – Latter Achieved 100 Million Sales in 74 Days After Launch

According to an unnamed Samsung official (via The Investor), the Galaxy S8 is selling almost twice as fast when compared to the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S6.

“The phone’s predecessors S6 and S7 hit the 100 million mark in 75 and 74 days since their launch, respectively. The S8 is selling almost two times faster than that.”

What this means is that the Galaxy S8 managed to achieve the 100 million sales mark in less than 74 days, which is quite impressive. However, the official does not state if the aforementioned number is thanks to just the Galaxy S8 itself, or the combined sales of Galaxy S8+ too. Regardless, a different industry source claims that Samsung has a very effective marketing strategy up its sleeve and that is the number of smartphones it sells after a small period of time.

“Samsung may be the only company that can use sales figures as a marketing strategy.”

Despite a few gripes of the Galaxy S8, such as its fingerprint reader’s positioning, you cannot deny that it is one of the most beautifully crafted phones to buy right now. Its screen-to-body ratio might be inferior when compared to the Mi Mix, but there are other aspects of the phone that increase the overall satisfaction rating for the end user.
