A new entry in The Elder Scrolls series may be far from release, but those who love the world and lore of the franchise have plenty of chance of immersing into them thanks to The Elder Scrolls Online and The Elder Scrolls Legends. The latter, which was previously only available through Bethesda's client, is now available for download on Steam.

The Elder Scrolls Legends includes a beefy single player campaign which allows players to learn the basics of the game and obtain rewards which can be used in the game's multiplayer mode.

Last year, we had the chance to take a good look at the game's closed beta, noting how it has everything to rival Hearthstone. With GWENT now also available on all platforms, there's no better time to be a fan of CCGs.

There are still some bugs to fix and plenty of balancing to be done, but if the team manages to improve on these foundations, The Elders Scrolls Legends may have what it takes to rival Hearthstone. The real question is if players are willing to invest time and money in two different CCGs at the same time, but the potential is there to at least reach out to the Elder Scrolls fan base and those who aren’t exactly CCGs experts, as the game is as welcoming as it gets, despite the fact that it might feel a tad overwhelming.
