Tekken 7, the latest entry in the series by Bandai Namco, is now almost upon us and players all over the world can finally enjoy the experience Katsuhiro Harada and his team worked hard to create. Aside from Tekken 7, there's another game that the team is involved in, the crossover game Tekken X Street Fighter, and Harada himself recently talked about it.

In a fresh interview with Game Informer, Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that Tekken X Street Fighter is still on hold, as the timing isn't right yet.

So you're saying every single video game happens in the same universe. Got it. Speaking of crossovers, you announced last April that Tekken X Street Fighter was on indefinite hold. Has development on that game continued at all between now and then?

No. The timing isn't right yet. It's still on hold.

When asked if we can still expect the game to be out at some point, Harada thinks that releasing the game when everybody's forgotten about it would have the most impact, marketing-wise. As such, we shouldn't expect the game to be released anytime soon.

Can fans still expect to see it at some point?

Marketing-wise, it'd probably have the most impact if we put it out when everyone's already forgotten about it...

As already mentioned, Tekken 7 finally launches in less than 24 hours on PC and consoles. If you're thinking about getting the game on PC, you may want to check out some 4K screenshots and max settings gameplay footage.
