Mark your calendars for June 20 because OnePlus 5 will be taking center stage to provide customers a price/performance Android flagship to the masses. If you’re wondering about its price tag, a new rumor claims that the phone is going to be more expensive than the Snapdragon 821-powered OnePlus 3T, which has been pulled from stock to make way for the newest kid on the block.

Base Model of OnePlus 3T Carried a $439 Price Tag Before Getting Pulled From Stock – Optimistic Price of OnePlus 5 Still Lingering Below $500 Mark

There were two versions of the OnePlus 3T; both feature the same amount of RAM but come with 64 and 128GB of onboard storage. The highest configured version retailed for $479, suggesting that the price of the OnePlus 5 could be slightly higher than this, at least according to Business Today. Remember, an exact figure has not been quoted, so this can also mean the device fetches the same retail price as its predecessor, which we’re hoping to see.

While it has been confirmed that the smartphone will have a dual-rear-camera installed coupled with a Snapdragon 835 and 1080p display, other specification details still elude us. For example, the predecessor came with 6GB of RAM, so where does that leave the OnePlus 5? Rumors have suggested that the smartphone will come with 8GB of RAM, but in all honesty, that value is just overkill in mobile devices, not to mention it would chew up battery life at an alarming rate.

To keep the pricing down as much as possible while still providing lots of selling points for the end user, we still believe that OnePlus 5 will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. What we also want to see is a larger battery capacity since the OnePlus 3T itself came with a larger cell while possessing the same thickness as the OnePlus 3.

What price do you think the OnePlus 5 is going to be sold for once it becomes available to the public? Tell us your thoughts down in the comments.
