In the U.S., a recent survey carried out reveals that more than a quarter of iPhone owners are patiently waiting for the arrival of the radically changed device so that they are able to make a purchase down the road.
Branding Brand Survey Shows That 26 Percent of Current iPhone Owners Plan on Buying the iPhone 8 – Decisions Might Change After Legendary September Keynote
A survey was taken by Branding Brand, a company that delivers websites and apps for big business, and it details that 26 percent of current iPhone owners in the U.S. plan on buying the iPhone 8. That is a decent number of people, which we feel will translate into an even higher number of purchases possibly after they see what the smartphone will look like when Apple officially announces it possibly during their September keynote.
The survey also stated that 14 percent of iPhone owners will purchase a model from the iPhone 7 series, and 12 percent plan on picking up an iPhone 6 series handset. Two percent of those iPhone owners said that they plan on switching to an Android-powered phone, while 1 percent expect to buy the Apple’s iPhone SE.
It is still unconfirmed what’s going to be the pricing of the iPhone 8. Some analysts claim that the iPhone is going to set you back by $999, while others state that the smartphone’s base version will set the user back by $870. The same analysts also said that the premium version of the iPhone 8 will cost $1,070 and we can expect that this will add a ton of storage to the equation.
What we know so far is that the smartphone will feature an edge-to-edge OLED panel and a 5.8-inch display, along with support for wireless charging, vertically stacked dual-cameras, and optics-related AR features.
