Google’s new Pixel XL 2 is slated to get announced during the later months of 2017 and it looks like a new benchmark leak reveals some interesting things about the smartphone. Just to be clear, it looks like the hardware specifications of the device are not going to be any different than what we have seen in current-generation flagship devices.

Specifications of the Google Pixel XL 2 do Not Reveal Presence of a Dual-Camera But High-Storage Capacity Model Expected

According to the specifications from GFXBench, it appears that the upcoming Google Pixel XL 2 will have a screen size of 5.7 inches and an unusual resolution of 2560 x 1312. This could mean that the upcoming handset will have an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is against the approach that its competitors have adopted for their devices.

A Snapdragon 835 and 4GB RAM pairing is expected to be seen in the smartphone, but because the Galaxy Note 8 has also been rumored to be the first phone to be outfitted with a Snapdragon 836, the same SoC could be present in the Google Pixel XL 2, resulting in more performance. The Pixel XL 2 might also come with Android 8.0 running, but at this point, the benchmarking sheet shows Android 7.1.1 running.

As for the camera, it shows a 12MP rear shooter and a 7MP front camera, but there are no signs of a dual-camera configuration, but that does not mean these details cannot change as time moves on. There are rumors that the Pixel XL 2 will get a dual-camera to challenge the likes of the iPhone 8, Galaxy Note 8 and several other devices expected to be announced during the second half of this year, so the best devices are yet to be unveiled.

For now, take this benchmarking sheet (via WinFuture) with a pinch of salt, because as stated earlier, a lot of details can dramatically change in the near future.
