Path of Exile Dev Got The Game Running on Xbox One X in 4K/60FPS Two Hours After Receiving Dev Kit

Path of Exile is coming to Xbox, and according to the game’s developer, they had the game running on Xbox One X in 4K and 60FPS two hours after receiving the Xbox One X development kit.

Grinding Gear Games, the New Zealand based developer said as much during the day two of the Xbox Daily stream, which can be watched below:

“Two hours after we got the dev kit it was running at 4k 60fps”, the developer said.

Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X, previously codenamed Project Scorpio, during its E3 press conference a few days ago. According to Xbox head Phil Spencer, the Xbox One X is the most powerful console by a wide margin, and various developers have acknowledged the console’s power, including Raiders of the Broken Planet’s game director Enric Alvarez, who stated that the console is a “beast”.

They have been really supportive during the development of the game and we want to make the most of their new technology. Seeing the game on a 4K TV just completely takes your breath away. It’s been really awesome working with this new console, it’s a beast!

Path of Exile will release for the Xbox One family later this year.
