Galaxy Note 8 Samsung Gr3at codename

Making great smartphones is definitely one of Samsung’s strongest traits; choosing their respective codenames, not so much. Previously, the Galaxy Note 8 was codenamed ‘Great’ and while that was not absurd, this next one will definitely be a contender for that prize where the objective is to pick the most ludicrous name to codename your handset.

‘Samsung Gr3at’ for Galaxy Note 8 Might Be Company’s Funny Way of Highlighting the Unique Features of the Upcoming Phablet

Evleaks or Evan Blass is always lurking on Twitter, spilling the beans on popular smartphones. While the following information related to the codename of the Galaxy Note 8 might not be deemed as noteworthy, it does provide some deep thinking to the number ‘3’ in ‘Gr3at’. Perhaps there could be a total of three features that we’ve never seen on any Galaxy Note phone before.

Our assumption is that this would include the dual-camera, the Infinity Display, and advanced S-Pen features. The Galaxy Note 8 has also been rumored to come with a 6.3-inch screen, which would add to that overall screen real estate for a better experience for the user. More screen real estate will also mean a larger battery capacity, but we will also have to wait for more details to get to know the capacity found in the device.

We’re not sure which chipset is going to be present in the smartphone, but a new rumor claiming that Qualcomm is going to be releasing its Snapdragon 836 real soon, that could be the SoC manufactured on the new and improved 10nm FinFET LPP architecture.

I personally am hoping to see the fingerprint reader embedded beneath the display of the phone, since it becomes a rather cumbersome experience to bring your finger all the way to the top of a large handset just to get access to the home screen.
