This isn’t the first time that the OnePlus 5 has been compared to the iPhone 7 Plus. A previous press image leak revealed the design of the flagship, and the company was severely criticized for blatantly ripping off the iPhone 7 Plus design. Now, another press image has been leaked, and it looks like things are not going to be any different that what was revealed earlier this month.

OnePlus 5 Confirmed to Get Dual-Camera - Possibly Supporting Portrait Mode Like iPhone 7 Plus to Take Enhanced Smartphone Photography

Evan Blass is one of the few reliable smartphone leaksters hanging about on Twitter, and after sharing the image of the OnePlus 5, we strongly feel that the smartphone took several features from the iPhone 7 Plus’ book. Lots of Chinese manufacturers have taken inspiration from Apple as far as smartphone design goes, but let us not hammer the company time and time again. Even with the OnePlus 3, the Chinese OEM decided to take things the simple way when the exterior was the primary concern.

After all, when going the simple route has made wonders for them, why change it at all. This time, there is a dual-camera in the mix, so it is definitely possible that future consumers will be able to take advantage of the device’s Telephoto lens to deliver a shallow depth of field when capturing images. We also feel that the secondary lens will be able to provide lossless image quality when zooming on the subject.

It is yet to be confirmed if the same lossless image quality will be available when users want to capture zoomed footage from their handsets, but it looks like additional revelations will be able to provide those elusive answers for us. A Snapdragon 835 and 6GB RAM pairing looks to be on the cards, but there are rumors that the company will be releasing a higher end model too; one that will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage.
