Galaxy Note 8 New York announcement

The second half of this year will see a multitude of smartphones boasting next-gen hardware and not surprisingly, the Galaxy Note 8 is going to belong to this illustrious lineup. However, the announcement month of the upcoming flagship is currently still hidden behind the mist but it looks like we might be getting somewhere with the latest rumor. It states that just like the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ announcement, the Galaxy Note 8 will also be unveiled in New York City.

Rumor Claims That Samsung Might Be Looking to Unveil Galaxy Note 8 in August to Gain an Early Lead Against Apple’s iPhone 8

Sources close to the matter have stated that the unveiling of the Galaxy Note 8 is going to take place during the third or fourth week of August. In order to expedite the release of the Note 8 for consumers around the world, we’re assuming that the company might attempt to unveil the phone as quickly as possible to get an early lead against the iPhone 8.

Industry watchers believed that the Note 8 might be showcased during the IFA 2017 trade show, but that might bring the announcement between the Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 too close to each other. Samsung definitely wants to maintain its distance from the iPhone as much as possible so that Apple’s keynote does not interfere with the Korean giant’s sales numbers.

According to previous rumors, the Galaxy Note 8 could become the first flagship smartphone from Samsung to sport a dual-camera, as well as become the first phone to sport a Snapdragon 836. The chipset is expected to be manufactured on the 10nm FinFET LPP architecture, resulting in better performance and efficiency at the same time. The phablet itself has been detailed to come with a 6.3-inch Infinity Display, and yes Bixby is going to be making a comeback on this handset too.

With the battery problems out of Samsung’s way, an event in New York during the month of August might just be what the doctor ordered. Do you agree? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
