The Nokia 8 might go in the same design approach as the OnePlus 5 but if the Finnish smartphone company can market a competitive pricing for a flagship smartphone then we will have a real winner on our hands. However, there are more features than a powerful Snapdragon 835 residing underneath the hood that will compel users to make the upgrade.

According to a leaked gallery, the Nokia 8 could also provide support for recording 4K footage from the front camera. There are not a lot of smartphones that come with this feature but we could potentially be looking at one.

Leaked Images Reveal a Resolution of 1440p, Snapdragon 835 SoC and a UHD-Capable Front-Shooter on the Nokia 8

Baidu has a pleasant surprise waiting for selfie-junkies and those that display an affinity in recording from the front-camera for their vlogs or any other purpose. The Nokia 8 sports a very rare feature that few devices in today’s generation feature; ability to record 4K footage through the front-camera. Since the front-camera sports a small sensor, we will have to see how it performs in low-level lighting.

It is yet to be confirmed if there is OIS support on the front-camera but future reviews will provide this little insight. As for the hardware, the Nokia 8 will have a resolution measuring at 2560 x 1440. The display tech used is possibly an IPS panel and the hardware combination is expected to be a Snapdragon 835 paired with 4GB of RAM.

The Nokia 8 internal storage counter has not been leaked, but we suspect that it will get 64GB of internal memory plus support for memory expansion up to 256GB via microSD card. Pricing is going to be key for the Nokia 8 and because it features a previous-gen design and an IPS panel, we hope to see a tag that is smaller than the one stamped on the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ when they were initially launched.
