Ever since leaks related to a 'revamped' iPhone started to surface, we've also seen increased talk related to VR and 3D. However, this feature might not be an iPhone 8 exclusive, as Apple just might also launch the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus with it. These show three major sensors for the iPhone 8's front. They further fan the facial recognition fire for the smartphone. As we head towards September, the big question is will Apple replace Touch ID with facial recognition? It's a big 'if' and the company stands to lose out a lot if the transfer isn't executed properly. After all, Touch ID's security has enabled Apple to expand the iPhone brand by a lot. The Mac world in particular rejoiced when fingerprint recognition made it on Apple's notebook lineup as well.

Facial recognition for the iPhone 8 will open up a new era for the lineup and flagship smartphones in general. It was Apple who made fingerprint sensors popular on smartphones and Cupertino seems to have its cannons lined. However, will they fire? They have in the past. Thoughts?
