Untethered iOS 9.3.5 Jailbreak is Done - But When it Will Be Released?

A few days back the jailbreak community sparked into action with the release of Phoenix jailbreak. The aforementioned solution is a jailbreak meant for iOS 9.3.5 running on 32-bit devices. The only downside of this is that it is semi-untethered. This means that you have to execute the jailbreak every time the device restarts or loses power. Not exactly a deal-breaker, but it is still something for enthusiasts.

Fast forward to the present day and it is now come to the public knowledge via Twitter that a untethered iOS 9.3.5 jailbreak is complete, based on exploits that were patched with the subsequent release of iOS 10.x.

While this news is great in many aspects, but there is no ETA on the jailbreak's release whatsoever. The tweet doesn't even go into detail in telling the audience whether or not it will be compatible with 64-bit devices, unlike Phoenix which works on 32-bit gadgets from Apple only.

This news is nonetheless great for those who are currently sitting on iOS 9.3.5 and are awaiting a proper solution. But of course, the audience is likely going to be small given that we are on the cusp of the release of iOS 11 and majority of the users have already updated their devices to iOS 10.

We also got wind of news a few days back that an iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak is also being worked on. It was also suggested that users should downgrade to iOS 10.3.2 when they had the chance. Now though, the downgrade process is no longer possible as Apple has stopped signing the aforementioned firmware. This means there is no way you can roll back your device to the older firmware no matter what you tried.

Still, the news about an iOS 9.3.5 jailbreak is great for those on older devices. So, if you were planning on upgrading to iOS 10 or above, then you might want to hold back a little.

We will update you as soon as we have more news regarding this, so stay tuned.
