We have been waiting very long for the release of the Essential Phone. We aren’t the only ones excited about the release, Andy Rubin and his company has now started to show off their first device. Earlier today, the company sent out invites for what they like to call a ‘First Look Event’. The event is scheduled to be held later this month.

Essential Phone event expectations

The invite itself doesn’t say much. It is pretty vague and doesn’t give a lot of details except the day, date and the RSVP link. The sign-ups for the event are limited but we don’t exactly know who is invited to this much awaited event. However, we are expecting that the guests may include people who had pre-ordered or reserved the product. This could be a way to please the people who were a little annoyed by the delay in the release of the Essential phone.

It is expected that by next week, the company will reveal the date when customers will receive the Phone. As the event will take place later this month, we think that the launch will be pretty soon as well. Up till now only very few people have had the honor of actually handling the Essential phone. This public event means that company is preparing itself for a much bigger launch. Such launch events will most definitely aid the company in marketing the product and will help attract customers towards this yet untested brand.

Sprint will be creating an Essential space in their stores and will play the role of the exclusive carrier in the U.S. Best Buy will eventually be doing the same across their locations. Rubin said on Wednesday that the phone is in ‘full mass production’. The company has also revealed that the phone will be available for $699.
